Abralon foam grip sponge sanding pads are patented for flexible sanding of both smooth and profiled surfaces. Abralon creates a smooth sanding pattern on and minimizes any pressure marks.

These pads have excellent hook and loop adhesion, and they can be used wet or dry. The open cell structure holds the water during sanding. The water is not thrown out and a smaller amount of liquid can be used.

Applications: The perfect sanding and processing material with versatile application possibilities on surfaces as new and old lacquers, plastics, primers and fillers. Abralon is used for conditioning a surface either as a pre-treatment prior to painting and lacquering, for removing oxides or for giving a visually attractive surface structure. Abralon is mainly used with wet sanding, but can also be used as dry in coarser grits.

Mirka was amazed how Granicrete developed the sanding-polishing-buffing process for our countertops using their pads for “professional detailing” of Granicrete’s Crystal Top Epoxy.

Granicrete offers the patented pads for individual purchase from 180 grit up to 4000 grit.
